Networking（建立人脈）和socializing（社交）有什么區(qū)別？ “Social”更多的是指你和家人朋友在一起，主要是for fun or for enjoyment。但是，“networking”的主要目的是tomeet people who might be useful to know, especially in your job（去認識那些可能會對你有幫助的人，尤其是在工作上）。 在西方，your network or your connection is very valuable（你的人脈是非常有價值的），他們也是特別注重人脈關(guān)系的。 “建立人脈”的英文說法是： ? build your network ? expand your network ? network (v.) 02.在哪些領(lǐng)域，人脈非常有用？ In academia（在學術(shù)界），networking could bring you morecollaborative research opportunities（帶給你更多一起合作研究的機會）and help you find the right mentors（幫你找到合適的導師）。 ? academia /??k??di:mi?/ n.學術(shù)界 ? collaborative /k??l?b?re?t?v/ adj.合作的，協(xié)作的 ? mentor n.導師 Networking can also be helpful with ajobsearch.找工作的時候，networking也非常有用，到底多有用？ There’s a saying that says around 80% of jobs are not on the job board（80％的工作不在招聘網(wǎng)站上）, they are filled through networking（這些職位通過networking來填補人員空缺）. You shouldattendnetworkingevents.要多參加社交活動。 In these networking events, you’re expected to engaging in small talk with professional in your field.在這些社交活動中，你要與你所在領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)人士進行閑聊。可能it sounds awkward（有點尬），但是a big part of networking就是putting yourself out there and showing up（讓自己置身其中），實在不行光是混個臉熟也是可以的，哈哈哈~ 除了參加networking events，你也應(yīng)該參加professional organizations（職業(yè)組織）, volunteer（志愿者） or intern（實習）。 2.
