The Mouse and The lion A hungry wolf was chasing her . Mouse ran as fast as she could .She darted under a bush . She ran right into Lion ,sleeping outside his cave ! Her sharp little claws dug into Lion's tail . Lion awoke with a start . "Roar!"Lion hollered . Lion put his huge paws around Mouse . " You woke me up !"he growled . " NowI will eat you ! " Noplease !"Mouse squeaked ." being chased by a Wolf .Please do not eat me . " If you let me go ,I will help you one day when you need it most ,"Mouse said. Lion roared with laughter ." Youhelp me !But you are so small !' Lion laughed again . " Well,you made me laugh ,"Lion said ." SoI will let go this time . He put Mouse down on the ground . She ran away as fast as she could . The next day ,Mouse was walking in the woods . She jumped when she heard the loud roar of Lion . " Help!"Lion roared . Mouse remembered her promise . She raced toward the Lion .She Lion was caught in a hunter's net ! soon found him . " Thankyou ,"saidLion ."Isee now that even the small can help the mighty .' From that day on ,Lion and Mouse were best friends .
