本期節(jié)目我們對談的嘉賓是--Elisha Cooper。他的繪本作品《Big Cat, Little Cat》2018年獲得了凱迪克大獎(jiǎng)。這個(gè)看似簡單的故事卻有著非常深刻的主題,可以觸動(dòng)讀者內(nèi)心復(fù)雜的情感。
Elisha目前共出版了25本書,有很多都是獲獎(jiǎng)作品。畢業(yè)于耶魯大學(xué)歷史系,他戲稱自己大學(xué)期間是“成績很差”的學(xué)生,雖然沒怎么花時(shí)間在學(xué)業(yè)上,他看了不少書,也在一門關(guān)于中國歷史的課上學(xué)到很多如何講好故事的方式。
本期節(jié)目我們主要圍繞他2021年4月剛剛出版的新書《Yes&No》的創(chuàng)作進(jìn)行了深度交流,同時(shí)也探討了他的成長、他對童書的看法等等。
Elisha Cooper is a Caldecott Honor winner in 2018 for his book Big Cat, Little Cat. He has written twenty-five books, mostly for children, and also books for adults. Graduated from Yale, where he majored in History, he joked that he was a "bad student" since he didn't spend much time on his studies, but he did spend a lot of time reading. And he loved going listen professor Jonathan Spence's Classes about Chinese history. It's the way of storytelling that influenced him a lot.
