Now not knowing the first thing about wild birds, I assumed that as soon as I hung this bird feeder outside, a multitude of beautiful birds would be swooping to my new addition. Days, weeks and months went by; NO BIRDS. 去年秋天，我在窗戶外掛了一個(gè)喂鳥(niǎo)的糧槽。我其實(shí)對(duì)野鳥(niǎo)的習(xí)性一竅不通，以為糧槽一掛出來(lái)，一眾亮麗奪目的飛鳥(niǎo)就會(huì)馬上朝這新裝置猛撲過(guò)來(lái)?？墒?，日復(fù)一日，周復(fù)一周，月復(fù)一月，日子就這樣過(guò)去了，還是不見(jiàn)鳥(niǎo)兒的蹤影。 I asked so many people what to do? What was I doing wrong? “Nothing,” most of them replied. “Just wait.” So I waited and waited and waited, trying everything possible to attract these birds. 我問(wèn)了許多人，該怎么辦呢，我是不是哪里沒(méi)做對(duì)?“沒(méi)什么，”他們大多回答我說(shuō)，“就等等吧?！庇谑俏业劝〉龋叺冗呄朕k法吸引鳥(niǎo)兒。 I cleaned off the deck, I changed the feed. I washed the feeders. I even made the cat go out the other door! But nothing seemed to work. So...I waited, “with patience and hope.” 我清掃糧槽下的平臺(tái)，更換飼料，清洗糧槽，甚至讓家里的貓咪從另一個(gè)門進(jìn)出!但似乎都沒(méi)什么效果。那么……我只好等了，“滿懷希望，耐心等待”。 Two months later, on a Saturday afternoon, I FROZE! What to my eyes had appeared on the bird feeder but the most beautiful bird I have ever seen in my life! All of a sudden hundreds upon hundreds of birds were appearing from everywhere! 兩個(gè)月之后，一個(gè)周六的下午，我簡(jiǎn)直驚呆了!我有生以來(lái)見(jiàn)到最漂亮的一只鳥(niǎo)兒在糧槽上出現(xiàn)了!這時(shí)，數(shù)以百計(jì)的飛鳥(niǎo)也突然從四面八方飛來(lái)! What a beautiful lesson I learned from this little creature. “Patience and hope” and “things” will attract the beautiful things in life. I never realized how much patience I really do have and how much I do rely upon “hope” to sort out the questions in my heart. 從這小家伙的身上，我學(xué)到了寶貴的一課?！皾M懷希望，耐心等待”，總有“事情”會(huì)引出連串的人生妙事。過(guò)去，我從沒(méi)意識(shí)到自己在面對(duì)問(wèn)題時(shí)能有多大的耐心，憑借多少“希望”去解決問(wèn)題。 So I keep hoping and waiting, waiting and hoping. I will try to use this “l(fā)ittle lesson” with so many other things in my life.
