轉(zhuǎn)眼已是三伏天,很多網(wǎng)友們說夏天是一個lose weight(減肥)的好時候。所以今天咱們來聊聊how to lose weight in the summer!
01 很多人喜歡夏季減肥
雖然很多人為了look better in summer clothes(夏天穿衣服更好看)而減肥,不過主播們personally wouldn’t recommend people to lose weight just for the sake of looking pretty(個人不太支持大家單純?yōu)榱丝瓷先ズ每炊鴾p肥)!盡管會有一些潛移默化的beauty standards(審美標(biāo)準(zhǔn)),不過主播們并不認(rèn)為thinner is better(人越瘦越好)。

很多人會feel the societal pressure to be thin(感受到來自外界社會的要變瘦的壓力),尤其是women and girls。所以主播們并不promote(提倡)that mindset of “you need to be thin in order to be pretty”(這種以瘦為美的心態(tài))。

如果要知道whether you need to diet or not(你是否需要控制飲食),一個很好的方式是check your BMI(查一下你的BMI),也就是body mass index(身體質(zhì)量指數(shù))。

Ideally, you should be within a healthy range of BMI. (理想狀態(tài)下,你應(yīng)該保持在一個健康的BMI范圍之內(nèi))如果你的BMI是 higher than 25,you would be considered overweight(你會被認(rèn)定是超重)或者臨床意義上的obese(肥胖)。
這是一個valid reason to lose weight(減肥的正當(dāng)理由)。

如果你的BMI是在normal range(正常范圍)里,而你又想lose weight to the point where you’re underweight(減到過瘦的地步),還是要三思!
Your health should be the most important thing when it comes to losing weight. (對于減肥而言,你的健康應(yīng)該是頭等大事)
02 夏天出了那么多汗,為什么不掉秤?
網(wǎng)上有種說法,說是因為夏天你會sweat a lot(出很多汗),所以你的metabolism(新陳代謝)will be faster(會更快), due to the heat(因為高溫)和sweating(出汗),which makes it more effective for you to lose weight (讓你減脂更高效)。
這個說法does make sense(有一定道理),但不是entirely accurate(完全準(zhǔn)確)。

脂肪被排出體外有兩種形式。Fat leaves the body (脂肪被排出體外)either as carbon dioxide(要么是作為二氧化碳) when you exhale(呼氣), or as water(作為水) when you sweat or go to the bathroom.
More than 80% of the fat goes out of your body through breathing in the form of CO2. (多于80%的脂肪是以二氧化碳的形式通過呼吸排出體外的。)The remaining 16% is excreted as water(剩下的16%是作為水被排出體外)。而這其中,出汗只是一小部分,doesn’t make too much of a difference in your weight loss(在你減脂里起到的作用微不足道)。

所以有的人會裹著plastic wrap(保鮮膜)運(yùn)動來多出汗以達(dá)到減脂的效果,這并不是非常effective(有效)。
《黃帝內(nèi)經(jīng)》里有一句話,“汗為心之液”,所以出汗其實是對心臟有負(fù)擔(dān)的,大量出汗就會容易心虛氣弱,所以還是建議大家不要大量出汗。

Especially(尤其) in the summer, if you sweat a lot, you need to wipe it with a towel(用毛巾擦干), change into clean clothes(換上干凈的衣服), and try not to exercise at noon(盡量不要在大中午頭鍛煉)!
03 為什么夏天適合減肥?
What advantages(優(yōu)勢) does summer have thathelp you lose weight?
首先,warmer weather tends to suppress your appetite(更熱的天氣往往會抑制食欲), 所以這會make you eat less(讓你吃得更少)。
高溫會讓你want to drink more water(想喝更多的水), 這會讓你feel more full(感到更飽),所以during your meals(在正餐的時候),你就會吃得更少。
有一種現(xiàn)象叫stress eating,就是人一壓力大的時候就喜歡吃東西。而在夏天由于there’s more sunlight during the day(白天有更多陽光),你會更開心,have less stress(壓力更?。?,就不那么容易stress eat。
04 夏天減肥小貼士
Tip 1: 設(shè)定實際的目標(biāo) Set Realistic Goals
Aim for a gradual weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week to make sure it’s sustainable.
(以每周減少半斤到1斤的慢速減重為目標(biāo),確保這個過程是可持續(xù)的。)
那種“一次性”(all at once)減掉大量體重的做法是不健康的!
It’s also hard to keep the weight off if you lose too much too quickly! (如果減重太猛,很難保持體重不反彈)

Tip 2: 多鍛煉 Stay Active
可以做一些strength training(力量訓(xùn)練),因為減重期間很容易lose muscles(流失肌肉)。
主播Erin說,she’s been swimming and going on a calorie deficit(減少熱量攝入)。她現(xiàn)在doesn’t really have time for the gym(沒太有時間去健身房),偶爾會做一些ab workouts(腹肌鍛煉),但不是super consistent(非常堅持)。

Tip 3: 睡好覺 Sleep Well
減重不光是多運(yùn)動和少吃飯,而是要看how healthy you are as a whole(你整體有多健康)。所以,having a healthy lifestyle(有一個更健康的生活方式)能讓掉秤更輕松 。
Tip 4: 多喝水 Stay Hydrated
你需要drink plenty of water(喝大量的水)來support your metabolism(促進(jìn)你的新陳代謝)。
“多喝熱水”(Drink more warm water)可不是一句空話,it also applies to summer(放在夏天也一樣適用)!尤其是right after an intense workout(剛做完劇烈運(yùn)動),如果喝冷水或者冰涼的水(icy cold water)的話,it could be really bad for your health(可能對你的健康很不利)。
Erin也開玩笑說,she drinks too much cold water for her own good(她喝的涼水太多了,對她自己并不好)!

Tip 5: 注意你的飲食 Pay Attention to Your Diet
少吃點可以,但不要starve yourself(餓著自己)!
盡量在飲食中:
Add fiber-rich foods(增加高纖維食品)
Avoid processed foods(避免加工食品)

Limit sugar intake(限制糖分?jǐn)z入)
Eat more protein(攝入更多蛋白質(zhì))
Consuming(攝入)更多蛋白質(zhì)能夠讓你feel fuller for longer periods of time(感受更多更久的飽腹感),并且能在減脂過程中l(wèi)ower the risk of muscle loss(降低肌肉流失的風(fēng)險)。
比如chicken(雞肉)就是一個很好的protein option(蛋白質(zhì)選擇)!
