The Fox lapped it up with great relish,but the Stork with her long bill tried in vain to partake of the savoury broth. Her evident distress caused the sly Fox much amusement. But not long after the Stork invited him in turn, and set before him a pitcher with a long and narrow neck, into which she could gether bill with ease. Thus, while she enjoyed her dinner, the Fox sat by hungry and helpless, forit was impossible for him to reach the tempting contents of the vessel. 狐貍和鸛 狐貍請鸛吃飯，只上了一大盤子湯。 狐貍津津有味地舔著湯喝起來，但是由于鸛的嘴巴很長很長，在那么淺的盤子里，她怎么也吃不到食物。鸛很明顯的痛苦卻給狐貍帶來了樂趣。不久，鸛回請狐貍吃飯，她在狐貍面前放了一只長頸小口的大瓶子。鸛可以很容易地把嘴放進去享受美食，而狐貍只能饑餓無助地坐在那里，一口也吃不到。 寓意:你怎么對待別人，別人也可以怎么對待你。 生詞： 1.
